First-person puzzle game

The Hardest Thing is a puzzle game from ChillFun that will have you solve puzzles with physics. Here, your goal is to hit the target with a ball. To do so, you will have to arrange your surroundings.

The Hardest Thing allows multiple player profiles saves. With this, you can play the game with your family or friends. Moreover, there are lots of puzzles you can solve, each one getting trickier as you play longer. However, as with other physics games, the ball often fails to go where it should despite the player setting up everything right.

Hit the bull's eye

The Hardest Thing is a first-person puzzle physics game that takes you to a house with different rooms. Each room has a set of puzzles needing solving. However, your goal will be the same: hit the target block with a ball. To do so, you will arrange all the remaining blocks to guide the ball to your target. Once you set everything right, you can let go of the ball.

There are 90 different puzzles, and each takes about five minutes to complete at most. You will start with fairly easy ones, but as you progress, each level will be crafted in a way that a bit of rotation or misplacement could cause you to fail miserably. The developers are kind enough to put hints and even a picture that shows the correct solution to help you.

As mentioned, the game supports multiple players' save. It also comes with a leaderboard that pits you against other players. However, the game is far from perfect and comes with a few caveats. More than the ball moving in a different direction than what you designed, the objects you use also often reset to their original position. Moreover, some trick items will sometimes block the ball's way.

Great idea, bad execution

The Hardest Thing is a funny and fun game you can play if you are into physics games and puzzles. The mechanics are simple, although solving the puzzles can be a bit challenging. However, the game is riddled with issues that can be frustrating. Both the ball and the objects you use seemed to have a mind of their own that the game is more of a trial-and-error

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
